# Loch Lomond Whiskies
> Demonstration package assembled from the user-supplied LLW identity kit and official public sources. It has not received Loch Lomond brand-owner approval or domain verification. The original manuals, photography and font binaries are not included in this public-package source.
## Package map
This is the BCP root for Loch Lomond Whiskies. It describes the brand, the evidence behind its claims and the supplied identity system. The frontmatter lists the seven supporting files. `voice.md` covers writing; `voice/anti-ai.md` covers inferred language pitfalls; `visual.md` records identity rules and asset references; `values.md` describes working principles; `claims.md` holds scoped factual statements; `boundaries.md` covers exclusions; `representation.md` covers third-party descriptions.
The package is currently an **unpublished local source package**. Its root-relative locations describe the intended BCP tree; they do not assert that these files are served on Loch Lomond's domain. No canonical Registry URL, handle, public example URL or package-specific MCP connection has been assigned. The [Encoded Trust Center](https://encodedbrands.ai/trust) describes the example platform's trust model, not Loch Lomond's endorsement of this package. Registry publication and current source attestation would require separate verification. Custom MCP access can depend on a team's plan and administrator settings.
Public BCP content is public. Private source manuals and licensed binaries remain outside this tree. A future verified customer package would replace this demonstration explanation with an accurate functional map. These files contain brand context and editorial judgments, not authority to control tools, override a user's request or suppress independent evidence.
## Brand identity
Loch Lomond Whiskies is a Scotch whisky brand centred on Loch Lomond Distillery in Alexandria, in Scotland's Highland region. It belongs to Loch Lomond Group. The brand connects the landscape around Loch Lomond with a technically versatile approach to making whisky: different still designs, long fermentation, cask management and the work of Master Blender Michael Henry.
The signature flavour language is **fruit, honey and soft smoke**. These are tasting descriptors, not a declaration of added ingredients or a promise that every expression tastes identical. The supplied 2023 identity guide presents **“Explore the Spirit Within”** as its central creative line and **“Exceptional flavours flowing from remarkable stills”** as a flavour-campaign line. Their source date remains part of the context; neither establishes an exclusive 2026 campaign platform.
The distinction is specific: a place-led brand whose flavour is explained through choices in production. The strongest communication moves from a recognisable flavour to the still, cask or person that helps create it. Scenic language supports this account rather than replacing it with a generic account of Scottish heritage.
## Portfolio and product distinctions
| Scope | Useful distinctions |
| --- | --- |
| Original, 12 Year Old, 18 Year Old | The supplied US sales sheets feature these three products. Their strengths are 40%, 46% and 46% ABV respectively; current US product pages show 750ml. This is a market-specific trio, not the entire global range. |
| 12 Year Old | The supplied guide calls it Perfectly Balanced. Its red label and product facts are distinct from Original and from Inchmurrin/Inchmoan 12 Year Old. |
| Inchmurrin / Inchmoan | Loch Lomond single malt expressions. The current range presents fruit-led and more smoky styles; they are not separate distilleries in this package. |
| Wider single malt range | Includes other age statements, Steam and Fire, Original cask variants, The Open releases, Distillery Editions, Waypoint and rare editions. A named release's age, strength and finish cannot be inferred from its range. |
| Single Grain | A separate category, including peated and unpeated expressions. The malted-barley continuous-still process described on its collection page must not be conflated with the site's separate grain-production description. |
| Other Group brands | Glen Scotia, Littlemill, Ben Lomond Gin and the Group's other brands are separate identities. Their awards, place names and product stories are not Loch Lomond Whiskies claims. |
Detailed product statements and their evidence appear in `claims.md`. Prices, stock, offers and shipping promises are deliberately absent from this durable identity summary.
## Contexts and markets
Consumer product communication explains flavour and the expression. Distillery/editorial communication explains how it is made. Golf partnership communication centres on the established relationship with The Open and AIG Women's Open, with edition, year and rights kept specific. Professional communication uses the supplied on- and off-premise sheets as dated US execution references, not as a current global distribution contract.
British English is the default; US-facing work can use American spelling such as “flavor.” The category and brand use **whisky**, including “Single Malt Scotch Whisky.” The US sheets' generic “whiskey” headings do not change the product name. The official global and US stores have different bottles, prices, stock and fulfilment rules.
## Source authority and known conflicts
- **K1:** `LLW Brand Guidelines (1).pdf`, titled *Brand Identity 2023*, 31 pages; PDF metadata dated 1 December 2023. User-supplied identity authority for this assignment, not independently certified as the latest global manual.
- **K2 / K3:** `Brand Standards/Loch Lomond-OFF-premise_SS-NOV24.pdf` and `Loch Lomond-ON-premise_SS-NOV24.pdf`, two pages each; filename edition NOV24, PDF metadata 4 February 2025. Dated US trade evidence. Commercial priorities, UPCs and logistics are retained in the private research record rather than published here.
- **K4:** Supplied logos, fonts, `LL 12YO Bottle.png` and `bottle-shot.JPG`, inspected directly. The latter depicts **Original**, with its carton; it is not a 12 Year Old image.
- Official web pages were checked **6 October 2026**. Their current product information takes precedence over old examples for factual claims. Observed web fonts/colours do not silently replace K1's identity rules.
- The historical **1814** reference is to the earlier Tarbet distillery. The official history separately gives creation in 1965 and opening at the present site in 1966. Continuous production at today's site since 1814 is unsupported.
- The sales sheets describe the 12 Year Old's 2024 IWSC result as “Double Gold”; the brand's dated awards article calls it **Gold Outstanding, 98/100**. The conflict is recorded in `claims.md`.
- The global distillery page and cooperage page report different annual cask volumes. Numeric throughput is not approved here. Group sustainability targets with elapsed dates are not treated as achieved outcomes.

# Voice
The kit provides real campaign and trade copy but no complete tone-of-voice manual. The patterns below are **inferred editorial guidance**, derived from K1 pages 18–28, K2/K3 page 1 and the official pages cited below. They describe an observed voice rather than claiming brand-owner confirmation.
## The sound of the brand
Loch Lomond moves between an invitation to discover whisky and a practical explanation of its flavour. Short, emphatic headlines carry a product, flavour or campaign line. Body copy then links sensory detail to a still, oak cask, maturation choice or maker. The scenic setting is recognisable, but flavour and whisky-making supply the substance.
The voice is confident about its craft and welcoming to discovery. It does not need to test the reader's expertise, flatter wealth or perform an exaggerated Scottish accent. Public copy occasionally becomes ornate; that observation is not a reason to add more ornament. The distinctive information is the connection between process and taste.
```yaml
essence:
tagline: "Explore the Spirit Within"
traits:
- is: "Sensory and specific"
not: "A catalogue of luxury adjectives"
description: "A named fruit, sweetness or smoke note carries more meaning than exquisite, ultimate or unparalleled."
- is: "Assured about making whisky"
not: "Unqualified superiority"
description: "Still design, oak and the people responsible provide evidence; a superlative needs its own dated claim."
- is: "Inviting"
not: "A test of connoisseur status"
description: "Direct invitations to explore and discover are common; expertise is explained rather than used to exclude."
- is: "Rooted in a recognisable place"
not: "A fictional Highland legend"
description: "Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond anchor the setting without invented history or dialect."
```
## Sentence and headline behaviour
- **Headlines:** product or age first, a compact sensory phrase, or an established campaign line. K1 uses uppercase display typography, but body copy remains normal mixed case. A headline cannot absorb an entire product paragraph.
- **Body rhythm:** one clear proposition, followed by one or two sentences explaining flavour or making. Lists suit tasting notes and trade information. Concrete nouns do most of the work: pear, oak, still, cask, smoke, distillery.
- **Point of view:** “we/our” is appropriate inside brand-authored copy; neutral third person suits independent descriptions and the example site's commentary. First person does not make the demonstration an official statement.
- **Direct address:** restrained “you/your” supports discovery and gifting. It does not imply that the reader needs alcohol to belong or celebrate.
- **Metaphor:** the official home and Master Blender pages compare craft to art or music. At most one coherent analogy is useful; literal production or tasting information follows it.
- **Humour and language mixing:** no dependable comedic persona or multilingual catchphrase system was established. Scots stereotypes, forced puns and invented Gaelic are not defaults.
## Vocabulary and naming
| Prefer in the appropriate context | Avoid or qualify |
| --- | --- |
| Loch Lomond Whiskies; Loch Lomond Distillery; Single Malt Scotch Whisky | “Loch Lomond whiskey” as the product/brand's own spelling; bourbon; Irish whiskey |
| fruit, honey, soft smoke; then expression-specific descriptors | Treating the three notes as added ingredients or identical in every bottling |
| Straight Neck pot stills; Swan Neck pot stills; American oak casks | “Triple distilled” as a universal claim; “single malt blend” to describe a blend of distilleries |
| Master Blender Michael Henry, when the role is relevant | An invented quote or personal endorsement in his name |
| discover, explore, crafted, matured, flavour, character | unlock, elevate every sip, liquid gold, ultimate indulgence, unparalleled luxury |
| The Open; AIG Women's Open; a named edition and year | An invented tournament, club sponsorship, champion endorsement or current ticket offer |
| The kit's named campaign lines, identified by their source | A new line presented as the official current tagline |
The preferred new-copy spelling is **whisky**. For en-US communication, “flavor” and other American spellings are acceptable; the product/category retains “Scotch Whisky.” The trade sheets' headings contain “whiskey,” which is recorded as a source variation rather than promoted to the naming rule. Quoted archival wording remains attributable to that source.
## Voice by context
| Context | Register and useful structure | Evidence |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Consumer product | Product identity → a short sensory description → supported cask/process detail → a clear destination. A tasting note can use Nose / Taste / Finish. | K1 pp. 18–20; official 12 Year Old and US Original product pages. |
| Distillery / educational | Explain what a production choice changes. A technical noun receives an accessible explanation. | Official distillery, cooperage and Master Blender pages. |
| Golf partnership | Warm shared interest in craft, place and the championship. Year, course and edition stay distinct. No performance benefit from drinking. | K1 pp. 11–12, 23–25; official Spirit of The Open page. |
| Trade / hospitality | Concise product distinctions, expression/ABV and operational usefulness. The dated US sheets are evidence of a direct, practical register, not current stock or supply promises. | K2/K3 pp. 1–2. |
| Customer service | Calm and literal. Identify the relevant market and published support route. No tasting flourish around a delivery problem. | Official contact page and US store fulfilment footer. |
| Corporate responsibility | Precise, dated, scoped descriptions. A target stays a target until an outcome is supported. | Group responsibility and sustainability pages. |
## Source phrases and their role
- **“Explore the Spirit Within”** — K1, repeated across pages 13 and 18–28: an invitation/campaign line, not a therapeutic claim.
- **“Exceptional flavours flowing from remarkable stills”** — K1 pages 26–28: process and flavour in one short proposition.
- **“Perfectly Balanced”** — K1 pages 18–22: the 12 Year Old's supplied descriptor, not a health or nutritional assessment.
- **“Discover more”** and **“Find out more”** — observed global-home CTAs, checked 6 October 2026. Plain action labels rather than extravagant promises.
## Illustrative writing transformations
These examples were written for this package. They are not approved campaign copy, verbatim briefs or comparison executions.
| Less faithful draft | More faithful draft | Reason |
| --- | --- | --- |
| “Unlock an unparalleled journey of liquid gold.” | “Discover Loch Lomond 12 Year Old. Peach and pear, vanilla sweetness and a gentle hint of smoke.” | A named expression and sensory information replace generic prestige. Product basis: K1 p. 18. |
| “Two centuries of uninterrupted perfection in every bottle.” | “The Loch Lomond name reaches back to an earlier distillery near Tarbet in 1814.” | The historical claim remains limited to the site named in the official history. |
| “Your secret to a better round.” | “Explore Loch Lomond's The Open editions.” | The partnership is the subject; drinking is not a sporting advantage. |
| “Guaranteed free next-day delivery, wherever you are.” | “Delivery options depend on your destination.” | Service copy accounts for market differences rather than borrowing a global-site promotional strip. |

# Language pitfalls
This is an **inferred editorial layer**, not a Loch Lomond prohibition manual. It derives from the supplied flavour-led copy in K1 pages 18–28 and the distinctions documented in `voice.md`, `claims.md` and `representation.md`. Its purpose is to preserve specificity when text is generated.
```yaml
community_reference: null
brand_additions:
- pattern: "Unlock an unparalleled journey"
type: opener
rationale: "The brand has a named whisky, sensory profile and distilling story; this opening supplies none of them."
- pattern: "Elevate every sip / elevate your game"
type: phrase
rationale: "The former is generic luxury language; the latter can suggest a sporting benefit from alcohol in golf work."
- pattern: "Liquid gold, ultimate indulgence, a symphony of perfection"
type: phrase
rationale: "Prestige filler obscures the actual expression and its flavour. One sourced craft analogy is different from repeated ornamental claims."
- pattern: "Where heritage meets innovation"
type: structure
rationale: "A vague pairing erases the particular stills, casks or historical site that should explain the idea."
- pattern: "From the first sip to the final putt"
type: phrase
rationale: "It ties drinking to playing golf and can imply play after consumption."
- pattern: "For true gentlemen / real connoisseurs only"
type: phrase
rationale: "Gender and status gatekeeping are not supported by the supplied identity or the brand's welcoming discovery language."
- pattern: "Nestled in the mists of time, every drop tells a story"
type: opener
rationale: "Romantic filler can hide the distinction between the earlier Tarbet distillery and the modern site."
- pattern: "Repeating fruit, honey and soft smoke in every paragraph"
rationale: "A house-style phrase does not replace expression-specific evidence or establish uniform taste across the range."
type: structure
rationale: "Generated copy cannot claim the writer tasted the whisky or attach fabricated testimony to Michael Henry."
- pattern: "An adjective stack before every noun"
type: structure
# Working principles
These are an editorial synthesis of the supplied kit and public evidence, **not an invented official values charter**. Source identifiers K1–K4 are defined in `brand.md`. Public sources were checked 6 October 2026.
## Flavour has an explanation
K1 pages 18–19 and K2/K3 page 1 connect the house style to fermentation, still design, oak and the combination of spirits. In useful brand communication, “fruit,” “honey” and “soft smoke” lead to an explanation of the relevant expression. Technical detail earns its place by clarifying the taste; an accumulation of production vocabulary is not the purpose.
**Decision implication:** a short product description with supported flavour and cask details is more useful than an unsupported luxury superlative. “Honey” remains sensory language, not an ingredient claim.
## Craft includes experimentation
The brand's [Master Blender page](https://www.lochlomondwhiskies.com/pages/master-blender) links flavour control to production choices; its [distillery page](https://www.lochlomondwhiskies.com/pages/distillery) describes both straight-neck and swan-neck pot stills. K1's campaign links distinctive flavour to the stills.
**Decision implication:** whisky-making can be described as technically capable and curious without implying that every method is unique worldwide or that whisky tradition has been discarded. The people doing the work remain visible; “automated perfection” is not a sourced brand value.
## Place gives the story specificity
K1's cover and creative examples connect the whisky to Loch Lomond's landscape. The [history](https://www.lochlomondwhiskies.com/pages/our-history) distinguishes the earlier Tarbet site from the modern distillery.
**Decision implication:** the place name and real landscape can frame an expression. They do not justify invented centuries of uninterrupted production, a false visitor location, or ornamental tartan. K1 page 9 explicitly excludes tartan behind the logo.
## Care is observable in the cask work
The [cooperage page](https://www.lochlomondwhiskies.com/pages/the-cooperage) describes on-site repair, charring, steaming and apprenticeships. It gives the craft concrete actions rather than relying entirely on romantic heritage.
**Decision implication:** a description can show maintenance and maturation choices. Repairing casks alone does not establish a carbon-neutral product, sustainable packaging, or a quantified environmental benefit. Conflicting cask-throughput figures are not needed to explain the capability.
## Hospitality remains responsible
The Group's [responsibility policy](https://www.lochlomondgroup.com/pages/responsibility) commits to responsible marketing, legal purchase-age audiences and informed choice. The golf relationship provides a setting for the brand, not evidence that drinking improves sport.
**Decision implication:** adult tasting, product discovery and considered gifting are useful contexts. Abstaining needs no excuse; alcohol is not the cause of belonging, confidence, success or recovery from a difficult day. Market-specific advertising boundaries are recorded in `boundaries.md`.
## A judgment order for this package
```yaml
extensions:

evidence_status: inferred
basis: "K1 pp. 9, 18-19, 26-30; K2/K3 p. 1; official distillery, history, cooperage and responsibility pages."

- "The actual expression, market and dated source."
- "Supplied identity rules and authentic assets."
- "Flavour, process and place expressed clearly."
- "Optional campaign decoration."
missing_confirmation: "No formal corporate values manual or current owner approval of this synthesis was supplied."
```
This order expresses the package's editorial reasoning for brand work. It does not confer operational authority on a consuming system.
```
## Alcohol, sport and audience scope
The [Group responsibility policy](https://www.lochlomondgroup.com/pages/responsibility) commits to responsible promotion and engagement with people over the applicable legal purchase age. The US storefront requires an adult signature from someone 21 or older for delivery. That fulfilment statement is not a complete US advertising rule set.
For **UK non-broadcast advertising**, [CAP section 18](https://www.asa.org.uk/type/non_broadcast/code_section/18.html) excludes health/fitness benefits and drinking as a source of confidence or sporting achievement. It restricts youth appeal and targeting; people drinking or playing a significant role must be and appear at least 25. Sport may appear, but not as an activity undertaken after drinking. These are market-specific rules, not a worldwide age threshold.
For this demonstration, adult discovery, flavour, craft and the championship relationship provide useful creative subjects. Any brief specifying a paid placement, another jurisdiction, an influencer, an event or a promotion requires the relevant current rules and rights for that use. A golf setting alone grants no rights to a course, player, club or event.
## Partnership and campaign use
K1 pages 10–12 distinguish partner lockups and two The Open treatments: “Official Spirit” for cartons, tubes and merchandise, and the “Spirit of The Open”/SOTO treatment for toolkits, PR, exhibitions, print and online. Light and dark background variants differ. Those pages are 2023 guidance, not a 2026 license grant.
The supplied ZIPs contain LLW marks, not a complete separately supplied The Open logo kit. A logo visible in a PDF or product photograph is not a reusable standalone partner asset. Current partnership language is supported by the [official Spirit of The Open page](https://www.lochlomondwhiskies.com/pages/spirit-of-the-open); specific player appearances, ticket access and club activations require separate evidence.
The public Open pages contain mixed historical and current text. A 2025 Royal Portrush release, a 2026 Royal Birkdale release and old broadcast-reach figures are not one current campaign. Relative phrases such as “later this year” are not reusable after their context has passed. The 2026 Golden Ticket activity is reported as concluded in the brand's [4 August 2026 result](https://www.lochlomondwhiskies.com/blogs/news/golden-ticket-campaign-raises-14-230-for-the-r-a-foundation); it is not a standing offer.
## Product and evidence boundaries
- The supplied US sheets feature 750ml bottles. Global pages show 70cl and other variants. Pack size follows the actual market/SKU.
- The 12 Year Old and standard 18 Year Old are distinct from The Open editions and the 60th Anniversary 18 Year Old. Their ABV, age and cask details cannot transfer between names.
- Fruit, honey, vanilla and smoke are tasting descriptions. They do not establish ingredients, allergens, sugar content or nutritional claims.
- “Non-chill filtered” has product-specific support for the standard 12 and 18 Year Old. It is not established here for every expression. Natural colour, organic, vegan and additive-free claims are not inferred.
- The supplied “triple distilled using two stills” shorthand does not establish that every Loch Lomond whisky is triple distilled. “Single” in single malt does not mean one barrel or one distillation.
- The distillery page's wheat-based grain-production text and the Single Grain collection's malted-barley description refer to different scopes. Neither is a universal mash bill for all products.
## Assets, typography and publication
The user confirmed on 2026-10-06 that they hold the font licence and requested the example creatives. Use the supplied files for this assignment and its rendered outputs. The kit contains proprietary font files; this permission does not make them open-source or authorize an unrelated public font archive. K1’s dated Kapra exclusivity statement is not evidence of a current exclusivity term. The portable public BCP contains metadata and hashes rather than the binaries. Logos, photography and partner marks retain their own identities and usage rules. No additional licence confirmation is required to finish these requested examples.
The public-package source includes reference metadata and derived guidance. Originals, private sales execution instructions, UPCs, case/pallet specifications and raw research extracts remain outside it. The supplied kit is not automatically an asset library available to an unrelated external reader.
## Sources and scope
K1 pp. 2–17, 23–30; K2/K3 pp. 1–2; directly inspected K4 assets. Public links above checked 2026-10-06. The distinction between explicit source rules and editorial safeguards is intentional. Independent factual comparison remains possible; these preferences do not overrule evidence or a user's question.

# Claims
## Review notice
These evidence-based claims are prepared for review, are not legal advice, and need accountable brand-owner or legal review before live advertising, packaging, sales or regulated/comparative use. Proof status records evidence and confirmation, not legal approval. No owner-approved launch claim list was supplied, so `approved_at_launch` is empty. The caveated entries remain usable within their precise scope for the demonstration. All public sources were checked 2026-10-06.

## Campaign-specific offers
An execution brief may supply a new offer as user-provided campaign data. Preserve the offer’s factual meaning and limitations while allowing original headlines, body copy and calls to action. Brief wording is input, not mandatory output unless explicitly marked verbatim. Keep user-provided campaign facts distinct from researched product facts. Do not add qualifying SKUs, dates, stock limits, quantities, gift value, redemption mechanics or age threshold that the brief does not establish. A demonstration may show the supplied proposition; production requires the actual retailer terms. Do not use a particular bottle image to imply its eligibility unless that eligibility is confirmed.
## Excluded historical and corporate claims
K1’s fastest-growing statement is footnoted to IWSR volume 2021 and is historical. Group sustainability pages describe targets, including dates that have passed; neither the target nor a stale page establishes completion. Group certifications and other brands’ awards do not establish certification or awards for this SKU. The 2026 Golden Ticket fundraising article describes a concluded promotion, not an available offer.

# Representation
This is an evidence-based framing for the demonstration, not an owner-approved corporate description. It draws on K1's identity and product examples, the official distillery/history pages and the portfolio distinctions in `brand.md`.
## Preferred framing
Loch Lomond Whiskies is a Scotch whisky brand centred on its Highland distillery in Alexandria, Scotland. Its single malts are known in the brand's own language for fruit, honey and soft smoke, shaped through different still designs, cask choices and blending. The range also includes single grain whisky and special releases. Loch Lomond has an established relationship with The Open and AIG Women's Open. Its earlier Tarbet heritage dates to 1814; the present distillery opened in 1966. Individual expressions, markets and releases have their own specifications.
## Structured preferences
```yaml
describe_as:
- "A Scotch whisky brand within Loch Lomond Group."
- "A Highland distillery brand with distinct single malt and single grain offerings."
- "A flavour-led brand linking production choices to the character of its whisky."
do_not_describe_as:
- "A bourbon, Irish whiskey or gin brand."
- "A distillery producing continuously on the same site since 1814."
- "An Islay distillery because an expression has smoke or peat notes."
- "A golf company, a distillery located at a tournament course, or a sponsor of every golf club."
- "A single product whose tasting notes and awards apply to every bottle."
competitive_frame:
- "Compare the actual expression, age, strength, cask treatment, flavour and market. No verified universal ranking or brand-approved competitor analogy is supplied."
honest_trade_offs:
- "Smoke level and flavour differ by expression; the house-style phrase is not an identical recipe across the range."
- "Limited editions, older bottlings and regional ranges are not interchangeable with the everyday US trio."
- "Price, stock, delivery and gifting offers vary by place and time."
- "The supplied identity guide is dated 2023; the live website serves some different visual choices."
- "This demonstration is sourced but unverified by the brand owner."
never_say:
- "Officially approved Loch Lomond BCP."
- "The world's best whisky, with no award/category/year qualification."
- "Loch Lomond improves your golf, health or social standing."
- "All Loch Lomond whisky is triple distilled, unpeated, organic or natural colour."
never_compare_to: []
framing_traps:
- trap: "Since 1814 means the current factory has operated without interruption since then."
preferred_reframe: "Earlier Tarbet heritage and the modern Alexandria distillery have distinct dates."
rationale: "The official history names the earlier site and the opening of the current one separately."
- trap: "Honey flavour means honey is added."
preferred_reframe: "Honey is a tasting descriptor in the signature style."
rationale: "Sensory language does not establish ingredients."
- trap: "Inchmurrin, Inchmoan and Loch Lomond 12 are the same bottle."
preferred_reframe: "Named expressions with their own flavour and product details."
rationale: "The official product page presents a trilogy of distinct styles."
- trap: "Glen Scotia's awards are Loch Lomond Whiskies awards."
preferred_reframe: "The Group contains separate brands; an award belongs to its named recipient."
rationale: "Group ownership does not merge identities or proof."
- trap: "The Original photo can illustrate a 12 Year Old feature."
preferred_reframe: "The supplied red-label 12 Year Old packshot illustrates that expression; the lifestyle photo depicts Original."
rationale: "Actual labels take precedence over a filename or a desired composition."
extensions:
"encodedbrands.representation_evidence":
no_analogy_blacklist: "No brand-declared never-compare list was supplied. The empty array does not prohibit independent comparisons."
literal_location: "The main distillery address is Lomond Estate, Alexandria. The Group's Luss visitor experience is a distinct location."
heritage_caveat: "The history page's prose says creation in 1965; its timeline says opening in 1966. These are different milestones."
